Saturday 3rd August. We have been invited back for the 7th year to run the dog show at St Stephens Village Fete, Langore. Please come and join us and enjoy all the fun. We have some lovely rosettes again, thanks to the continued sponsorship by Glebe Veterinary Surgery. All the proceeds from the dog show will go to Lakeland Trailhound Welfare who work tirelessly to rehome these lovely hounds around the country.

Del Bedouin epic fundraiser!

Trailie owner and supporter Del Bedouin raised a staggering £905 for Trailhound Welfare in July when he took part in the Montane Lakeland 100 race. The race covered 100 miles of difficult fell terrain in awful weather conditions and Del achieved an impressive 60 miles before a knee injury forced him to retire.

THANK YOU also to all our awesome supporters who generously sponsored Del. Here are just a few of over 30 hounds that we have helped this year to find lovely retirement homes.

Helen and her hounds raised £1025.11!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO LTW supporter Helen Warrington who undertook the gruelling Ullswater Challenge on 21st October, which involved running 24 miles with her fab trailie companions, Ace and Tarn. This was no easy jog – it involved running up and down fells in a variety of weather including driving, horizontal rain and sunshine with rainbows. With YOUR support sponsoring her, Helen raised an amazing £1025.11.

We would also like to thank Tina Airey and the HTA for collecting £200.11 of the final total on the same day in support of Helen, at the Helton Hound Trails which were held just over the fell from Ullswater.

As of the date of writing this (23/10/2018), Trailhound Welfare has helped 47 trailhounds in 2018. We have privately homed 21 hounds, sent 24 to trusted rehoming centres all over the country and have 2 hounds in long term foster homes. So the support from yourselves and Helen is very much appreciated. Here are a few photos from Helen’s epic run, plus a picture showing just a few of the hounds we have helped this and last year. Thank you to the BHTA – £325.55 raised for LTW

Many thanks to the Borders Hound Trailing Association and their supporters for their kind donation of  £325.55 raised on the Sandale trails on 7th October 2018. The weather was atrocious with rain and strong winds but that didn’t stop anyone enjoying themselves. Visiting retired BHTA hound Ellie met up with old friends then high tailed it back to her snug duvet in the car with her companion Bailey!
