Vinnie trailhound donates blood to save a life!

Vinnie trailhound came to the rescue of a sick dog who was in desperate need of a blood transfusion. He answered the call of help from his vet Jon Slattery at Best Friends Veterinary Surgery, in Worcester Road, Malvern Link.

Mr Slattery had a very ill patient in dire need of a blood transfusion to save her life and called upon Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter to ask for help. He knew Vinnie was in excellent health and fulfilled donor criteria to be able to urgently donate blood to help his fellow dog.

Vinnie got an extra treat and has now been happily rehomed.  FULL STORY

Canterbury trailie runaround 5th March

Thank you all for coming to Canterbury today where Dogs Trust kindly allowed us to use their secure field. Luckily we timed it perfectly & the weather was kind to us while we were in the field & the hailstones arrived as we were loading up the car! Thank you too for your generosity for the raffle (especially Susanne & Urbane), it raised £108 for Dogs Trust & Lakeland Trailhound Welfare. Most importantly though it was so lovely to meet up with Pandy, Judy, Abby, Tilly, Rob, Skip, Millie, Lennie, Rufus, Jodie, Jill, Runner, Tally, Skye, Robbie, Bob, Danny, Jack, Rosie & Brad. Our lot, Wallie, Molly, Cassie & Judy, thoroughly enjoyed mugging any unsuspecting human for treats. See you all again soon! Barbara Leopold.
